Since then I have managed to breed 14 litters of Bernese Mountain Dogs. Dogs from my kennel have made it not only to European countries, but also to the Middle East and Canada. 21 dogs impact the breeding out of my kennel. Several of them made dog show rankings: one International Champion (Eddy), five FCI countries Champions (Astor, Eddy, Felicity, Jovita Jetta, Lucky Lollipop), and one Junior Champion and Club Junior Winner (Galileo). Some dogs from my kennel had busy working lives (Innocent Idea and Felicity).
At this point, I’d like to mention the dogs we came to own both intentionally and by chance. We had CH. Bajka Econ since she was a three-year-old champion. Her previous owners had to give her up because of some family issues. She became a permanent part of our pack and passed away at the age of 9. CH. Doremis Zatopeck came to Slovakia after several long years of waiting at a well-known kennel in Sweden. This champion of two countries has never lived with us. He lived under co-ownership at the Čalovské lúky kennel and he was able to father several successful offspring.
Out of all the Bernese, ICH. Delilah from Ochoze meant the most to me. Her arrival was a little unplanned. We got her after young Dorothy died of gastric torsion. Our yard was missing a bitch, someone to continue the kennel. Delilah (I called her Lili) became the founder of a new generation. I spent six short, yet eventful years with her. She was the one I could share a moment in the spotlight with, knowing that people were clapping for us. I still grieve over her passing (she died of an insidious disease). In fact, it was one of the reasons I decided to rethink the course of the Čierna hviezda kennel.
